Windsor will soon have 12 clean diesel buses added to their transit fleet.

The City of Windsor, along with 12 other municipalities has purchased a total of 203 buses. Locally, the city could save $227,600 as part of the partnership.

The 12-metre buses can carry up to 70 passengers and will provide better day-to-day  fuel efficiency. The province estimates the municipalities are saving $4-million over three years by going on the purchase together.

The buses are expected to be completely delivered in 2015.
