A Windsor teen will be a prominent leader in Canada one day, according to an article written by Maclean’s Magazine.

Alexander Deans, a Grade 11 student at Académie Ste. Cécile was listed by MacLean’s in their Canada’s Future Leaders of 2014 article.

Deans invented iAid – a device that scans the area around a visually impaired person for obstacles by using four ultrasonic sensors.

“The best part of science is using it to make other people’s live better,” Deans told Maclean’s.

Deans joins 12 other on the list, which highlights the best and brightest from sports, engineering, and politics.
