Trustees with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board acclaimed Barbara Holland as chairperson of the nine-member board.
The Ward 6 and 7 trustee was acclaimed at the board’s annual organizational meeting.
Holland was first elected to the Board in 2000 and has served on several board committees.
Trustee Mary DiMenna was acclaimed to the position of vice chairperson. She has been a Trustee representing Catholic ratepayers, parents and students in Essex, Kingsville and Leamington since 2003.
Trustees Fred Alexander, Fabio Costante, Mary DiMenna, Frank DiTomasso, Barbara Holland, Bernie Mastromattei, Lisa Soulliere, Susan Tope and Fulvio Valentinis were elected in the municipal election in October.
Meanwhile, at the Greater Essex County District School Board, Gale Simko-Hatfield has been elected board chairperson and former Windsor city councillor Alan Halberstadt has been acclaimed vice chairperson.
