With four days left until the 2014 municipal election, the gloves have come off between the three perceived mayoral frontrunners in Windsor.

During a debate Thursday morning on AM800’s The Lynne Martin Show, Drew Dilkens, Larry Horwitz and John Millson faced off for one of the final times, and it wasn’t without fireworks.

“I’m sorry you don’t understand it, a public system, a public process,” Dilkens said. It was quickly followed up by Millson with, “Oh excuse, me… Drew once again, why do you talk down to everybody?”

“I’m not talking down to anybody. I’m trying to share facts with you, and you don’t want to hear them. The facts are critical, the facts are important,” Dilkens said.

From questions about the former auditor general position, to flooded basements, Millson says people want answers.

“I didn’t really see Mr. Dilkens clarifying anything. What are ya hiding?” Millson stated after the debate.

“When all you do is attack, attack, attack, and you don’t talk about your own plan, that’s a good sign they view me as a threat. As far as we’re concerned, that all rolls off the back and over our shoulders,” says Dilkens.

In the middle of all this was Horwitz, who says he offers a different perspective then his competitors.

“"I'm a fresh voice – the other two have had a chance, to show what they can do, 20 years ago, for the last eight years, it's time for a change. Windsor has so much opportunity for the future, Windsor can be great."

Windsor resident will be the deciding factor on Monday, where they will have their pick of 12 mayoral candidates.
