Windsor’s mayor says the city’s proposed 2015 budget will hold the line on taxes for a seventh straight year.

Mayor Drew Dilkens, CAO Helga Reidel and chief financial officer Onorio Colucci presented details of the $749 million gross operating budget at a news conference at city hall on Monday morning.

The proposed budget is being put online for the public to review.

The officials say there was no tax revenue growth for the city. There was a slight increase in residential tax growth, but it was offset by a decrease in industrial/commercial tax growth.

Dilkens says the Family Aquatic Centre will be paid off completely in 2015.

Forestry, care taking and a fire prevention officer is where the city will ask council for added jobs.

The city will spend $41 million on roads and sewers in 2015.

The Windsor police budget will increase $3.5 million.

The budget will be deliberated at the council meeting on Jan.19.
