City staff is scheduled to visit two shelters Thursday to give unregistered residents the opportunity to vote.

It’s to ensure homeless voters are on the voters’ list in the upcoming municipal election.

Homeless residents without a permanent address will likely not receive a voter notification card, but they are still eligible to vote, if they are eligible electors.

Staff is expected to be at the Downtown Mission at 664 Victoria Avenue between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

They are later expected to be at the Salvation Army at 355 Church Street later from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m.
