A man is reported to have been treated and released for minor burns after crews rushed out to 790 Windsor Avenue after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from several kilometres away. Damage is said to have been extensive to a rear porch, where the fire is believed to have started.
An Ontario Fire Marshal investigator has been called in to determine a cause, although it`s thought a barbecue might have been the problem.
Damage is estimated $150,000.
Police directed traffic away from Tuscarora and Elliott Streets.
