The 2016 Windsor Draft Budget was released on Monday.

Administration is proposing a 1.25 per cent increase in property tax, which would include a 0.5 per cent increase of the road levy.

Mayor Drew Dilkens says he is not in favour of the road levy. He says they will try to come up with ways to reduce the overall tax increase.

The proposed budget is posted on the city's website.

Revenue is expected to increase by $1 million, something the city hasn't seen in years.

The city debt  has dropped from estimated $1,100 per resident in 2003 to now less than $500 per resident.
