A 30-year-old Toronto man is facing charges after Windsor police seized $34,088 worth of drugs on Tuesday.

Members of the drug enforcement branch were conducting an investigation into trafficking when the subject was observed leaving a motel room in the 3700 block of Walker Road.

He entered a taxi cab in the parking lot. At 6:15 p.m., police stopped the cab in the parking lot and placed him under arrest.

Officers searched the suspect and his backpack and seized 270.5 grams of crack cocaine with street value of $27,500, 68.4 grams of powder cocaine worth $6,840, 19.8 grams of cannabis marijuana worth $198.

Police also seized $2,080 in cash as well as three cell phones and a functioning digital scale.

Cheddi Emil Morris, 30, from Toronto is charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis marijuana.
