Police have released a description of the vehicle, driver and passenger after a woman was reportedly knocked to the ground by a vehicle fleeing a fender bender.

The incident occured around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Elliott Street East and Dufferin Place.

A woman being treated at the scene by paramedics told police she was stopped at the stop sign on Dufferin when she saw a white car make a wide turn and it struck the front left bumper of her vehicle.

She said the driver of the white car exited and she asked him to call the police, she added he pretended to call police as he returned to the driver's seat.

As she stood by the driver's side of the white car, she told police it suddenly fled north on Dufferin and the open door struck her, knocking her to the ground.

The complainant sustained scrapes on her knee and bruising.

The vehicle is described as a small, newer model white car with damage to the front, driver's side bumper.

The driver is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5'4" tall with short black hair and well dressed.

A passenger in the vehicle is described as a white female, 20-25 years old, with black hair and wearing a longer puffy coat.
