Windsor police say a convenience store clerk was violently attacked by two men with a Taser.

A 54-year-old man was closing the outside door of Alfin Convenience at 405 Erie St. W. around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Two male suspects approached him and asked about purchasing some cigarettes from inside the store. When he told them the store was closing, police say the men attacked the victim, zapping him with a Taser and punching him several times.

The victim fell to the ground and the suspects allegedly removed a small amount of cash from his pocket.

The clerk was taken to hospital with cuts to his face.

Police have released the security video of the incident in hopes of identifying the suspects.

The first suspect is described as white, 5’11”, 20 to 25 years old. He was clean shaven with a slender build, possibly wearing glasses and a baseball hat with an unknown logo. He had a light blue hoodie with hood on, light pants, possibly jeans, black gloves, black shoes with white laces, and was in possession of the Taser.

Police say the second suspect is black with light complexion, 5'9", about 20 years old, with a slender build. He was wearing a grey or light hoodie with the hood up, dark jogging pants tucked into white socks and white running shoes.
