Windsor police have arrested a 24-year-old man, but believe a 12 gauge shotgun may be missing after a gun was fired in a west end home.

Police were called to the 400 block of Church Street at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday. Officers say the suspect had threatened to kill his girlfriend with a shotgun. The house was cordoned off, and all the people inside were eventually ordered out of the house safely.

Officers learned a shotgun was discharged in the basement unit of the residence earlier that night. Police executed a search warrant, but didn’t find the shotgun.

Police did find a BB gun replicated to look like a pump action shotgun and rifle ammunition. A ground search of the area around the house and neighborhood was unsuccessful.

Joshua Steven Walsh, a 24-year-old Windsor resident, was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
