Windsor police was contacted later the same day by a woman who said she was groped and hugged by an unknown man. The victim claims she was in the area of University Avenue and Sunset Avenue, around 8:15 p.m., when she was approached by the man.

According to police, the suspect hugged her and felt her breasts over her clothes.  When the woman pushed the man away, he left the area.  The suspect is described as a light brown skinned man in his 20’s, standing 5’8”, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jean. He’s described as having a high pitched voice.

The individual then asked for her soda, but when she declined the man allegedly hugged and kissed the victim’s face.  The woman continued to pull away, and was eventually able to board the bus once it arrived.

Police say the suspect identified himself to victim and police have confirmed his identity. The suspect is currently in hospital undergoing a mental health examination.

Windsor police and University of Windsor Campus Police are working together in the investigation. At this time, police believe the sexual assaults and the break and enter to be random acts. Police are now working to determine whether the incidents are related.
