A Windsor store manager is hopeful a police investigation and security video will catch the alleged thief after a robbery at a Wind Mobile store.

Police say the break-in occurred at the store on Walker Road at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday morning.

“Someone broke the window, walked in, grabbed the TV and just flew out the store," says Ash Al-Taie, Wind Mobile store manager.

Windsor police are investigating the incident. Sgt. Pamela Mizuno says they are still looking for the suspect.

“The alarmed triggered, he walked into the store, tried to grab the laptop. He got confused for a second and he went for the TV, grabbed the TV off the wall and went outside," says Al-Taie.

The cell phone plan provider’s new location opened last November. Al-Taie says the alleged thief managed to get away with only a flat screen TV.

“Luckily we did not miss any inventory except for the TV," he says.

Two security cameras at the front and back of the show room captured the incident. The footage has been handed over to the authorities.

Al-Taie says he's confident the surveillance video will help police find the person responsible.

“We're very confident the local police are moving in the right direction with the investigation, so we know what exactly happened here," says Al-Taie.

Windsor police say the alleged thief is a white male, 5’9”, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black three-quarter-length jacket, black toque, and black sweatshirt with writing on it.

Anyone with information about the person seen in the video is asked to call the Windsor Police Service.
