A new campaign launched in Windsor is geared at educating both cyclists and motorists on how to share the road.

All this week, Windsor police officers will be focusing on cycling safety. The campaign will also act as an enforcement blitz to ensure drivers are being safe around bikes and that cyclists are following the rules of the road.

If either party is found to be in violation, officers will issue warnings and fines.

A few tips for motorists, check your blind spot for bikes before making a right turn and don't park in bike lanes. Cyclists should be on the road and be moving in the same direction as drivers.

The campaign ends on Saturday.
