Windsor Police have arrested a man following a standoff that began at 11:30 Saturday morning. Police were called to a Bridge Avenue home after reports of a weapon there.
About a dozen cruisers and a team of heavily armed officers surrounded the home at 399 Bridge Avenue. Police urged a man inside to come out peacefully. The resident ignored the orders. Shortly afterward, officers and the K-9 unit entered the home and took one man into custody. He was placed in a prisoner transport vehicle.
The forensic identification unit is now on scene and the 300 block of Bridge Avenue is closed to traffic.
