Windsor police are looking for two suspects after a man was discovered tied up and beaten inside his home.

According to police, the victim heard a knock at his door in the 400 block of Shepherd Street West Thursday around 2 a.m. Thinking it was a friend, the man opened the door and was subsequently assaulted by two suspects.

Police say the victim was tied up to his couch with an extension cord and assaulted with a statue. Officers say the suspects ransacked the home and made off with a small amount of cash.

The victim’s brother checked up on him later that day, after learning that he didn’t show up to work. That’s when he discovered him tied up and bleeding from the head. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white male, standing 5’4”, weighing 130 pounds with small beady eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow bandana over his face, and a long sleeved shirt.

Suspect two is described as a white male, standing 5’10”, approximately 200 pounds, with short black hair and black bushy eyebrows.

Police believe this is not a random act.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
