A Windsor man will stay behind bars while he waits for his trial for first degree murder.

Kevin Poblete, 22, was denied bail Tuesday by Justice Kirk Munroe.

A publication ban prevents CTV News from reporting the judge's reasons for denying bail.

Poblete is facing a charge of first degree murder in the death of a 49-year-old man.

In December of 2013 the man was shot in the head inside his home at 818 Langlois Ave. but he died close to 10 months later.

Poblete will be back in court to set a date for a preliminary hearing next month.
