A Windsor man has been arrested in connection to car break-ins in the city’s east end.

According to police, officers witnessed a suspicious man walking with two boxes in the 800 block of Lauzon Road Saturday. When police attempted to speak with the man he allegedly dropped the boxes and fled on foot.

The suspect was found a short time later inside a Tim Horton’s located at Lauzon and Wyandotte Street East. Officers found the suspect’s coat outside the coffee shop, which they say contained a large quantity of coins, cell phones and several packages of cigarettes.

Police say the suspect indicated he broke into several vehicles in the area and that the boxes contained a flat screen television.

Officers say the suspect is also being arrested in connection to the theft of four GPS units that were sold at a pawn shop.

Sebastian Poisson, 22, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of theft and one count of fraud.
