A Windsor man is charged after allegedly stealing scrap metal off of wheelchairs at a local business.
Windsor police were called to the Shoppers Home Health Care in the 1600 block of Howard Avenue after receiving a call about a suspicious man on Thursday, around 1:40 a.m.
When officers arrived they located the man within a fenced compound attached to the Shoppers. Police say a search of the suspect turned up several pieces of scrap metal from old wheelchairs.
The 37-year-old is charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property. The suspect has been released on the promise to appear in court at a later date.
