A Windsor lawyer, who has been retained by a man involved in a fatal crash on Highway 3, is asking for a Coroner’s inquest into the “controversial” stretch of road.

Greg Monforton is representing Nahim Ibrahim, 45, a Lakeshore man who was seriously hurt in a collision near Kingsville on July 15.

“I am astonished that so many fatalities continue to occur on this stretch of highway,” said Monforton in a news release.

The driver of the oncoming car was killed and another passenger was seriously injured.

Monforton’s firm has also been consulted by three families of victims of the April 29 crash on the same piece of road.

He says is calling for the inquest to determine what happened to cause these deaths and to suggest what can be done to prevent similar deaths in the future.
