Polls across Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent opened Monday morning at 10 a.m.  for the 2014 Municipal Election.

Voters will have until 8 p.m. across the province to cast their ballot for the municipal election.

CTV Windsor’s coverage will begin at 6 p.m. where our team will help set the stage for the races across our region. Out-going Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis will join us live at the Caboto Club where candidates are expected to gather to watch results.

The reported front-running Windsor Mayoral candidates had a busy weekend in the final stages of campaigning. John Milson and Drew Dilkens met with their own campaign workers to rally the troops in the final push.

Larry Horwitz spent his Sunday morning at Unifor’s meeting with Ford employees, following Friday’s news that Windsor is not expected to receive an investment to build a new engine.

All candidates say they’re feeling optimistic about their chances of becoming the next mayor.

Beginning at 8 p.m. you can join CTV Windsor for live election coverage right here on our website.
