Fork & Cork Festival

The tents are up as it’s almost time for the Fork and Cork Festival at Riverfront Festival Plaza.  Organizers say the event is a mix of great food and entertainment. Over 20 bands are set to perform over the three-day festival.

The Trews take the stage on Friday night and Finger Eleven continues the party on Saturday. For a full list click here.

The only way you are guaranteed entry is by pre-purchasing a weekend pass/wristband. At the gate passes are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Essex Fun Fest

In the mood for some fun? The Essex Fun Fest kicks off tonight with activities for all ages.. including a  midway, parade, youth talent show, Cra-Z-Crew Stunt Team, carnival rides, food, and live entertainment. A Kenny Chesney Tribute artist performs Friday and Christie Palazzolo sings on Saturday, along with other artists and a fireworks show. General admission is $3 or $10 per family.

Amherstburg Ribfest

Mouthwatering racks of ribs are up for grabs in Amherstburg . The Amherstburg Ribfest runs Friday through Sunday at Centennial Park.Besides the ribs, there’s alsolive entertainment on the stage each day, rides, and children’s activities. Parking and admission are FREE, but donations are greatly appreciated. All proceeds support Rotary projects.

Rockabilly Beach Party

Local country stars ‘Buck Twenty’, “Paying Cash”, Johnny Cash Tribute & the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley Tribute with James Gibb are performing at the Rockabilly Beach Party on Saturday.

Sesqui

Along with Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, Windsor will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of its incorporation as a city. SESQUI’s 360° cinematic dome will be located in Municipal Lot 16, a historic CN Train lot close to the Detroit River.

SESQUI’s HORIZON 360° film will be projected in 9K resolution. The film is approximately 22 minutes in length, and will be screened every half hour in our custom-built SESQUI cinematic dome.North of Riverside Drive & at the Foot of Goyeau Street 

All admission is free and lineups are first come, first serve.
