The Clean House

“The Clean House” is a quirky comedy about a busy, career-minded doctor, who hires a Brazilian maid who hates to clean and longs to be a comedienne. Directory Kelly Daniels says it will draw a mix of emotions from the audience. The talented University Players cast is performing several shows starting Friday, running until Oct. 30. Daniels says it has taken weeks of preparation.  There’s also a “talk back” discussion with the director and actors after the shows. Howie Mandel

One of Canada’s top comedians is coming back to Caesars Windsor this weekend. Howie Mandel is bringing his hilarious stand-up act to the Colosseum on Friday night.  The Toronto native is currently a judge on America's Got Talent, and was previously the host for Deal or No Deal. Despite his TV success, Mandel has never abandoned comedy, performing nearly 200 shows throughout North America a year. Tickets start at $20 Canadian and are on sale now.

Windsor Symphony Orchestra

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra is going on the road. The WSO begins its 2016-2017 series of chamber concerts with performances in Chatham, Leamington, and on the campus of the University of Windsor. WSO Music Director Robert Franz conducts two of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, a Mozart Divertimento, Suite for Strings by Arthur Foote, and Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns. Performances take place on in Chatham on Friday, in Leamington on Saturday, and the back to Windsor on Sunday.  Tickets are available online or at the WSO box office.

Lakeshore Cinemas Horror Movie Marathon

Lakeshore Cinemas will be throwing its first annual Horror Movie Marathon on Friday night. They’ll be screening favourites like “Friday the 13th”, “Halloween” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” On Saturday, the cinema is bring “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” back for the fourth year in a row. All proceeds from ticket sales and ribbon sales will go towards the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research. This show is rated 14, no one under 14 will be admitted unless they are with an adult. 

Tickets are $20 each and include a prop bag! Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite at weloverockyhorror.eventbrite.com. Any leftover tickets will be sold at the door. This event is expected to fill up so please plan accordingly!

Haunted Greenhouse & Horror Hedgemaze

Friday, Oct 21 – Sunday, Oct 23 & Friday, Oct 28 – Sunday, Oct 30, 2016. Get spooked at Colasanti’s during their 20th annual haunted greenhouse and horror hedgemaze. In the haunted greenhouse take an evening indoor night walk through a castle, morgue, industrial lot, cabin swamp and more. In the horror hedgemaze board the haywagon and take a short trip through the hedgemaze filled with scary creatures and enter the abandoned farm house. Not suitable for 12 years and under.
