A labour dispute at the University of Windsor is over, as faculty have voted 65.8 per cent in favour of a tentative agreement.

The ratification process was completed on Tuesday evening with the majority of faculty members ratifying the 2014-2017 Collective Agreement.

Members of the Windsor University Faculty Association met throughout the day to hear details and vote on the agreement.

Nearly 1,000 faculty members had been without a negotiated contract since July and the past few months brought only sporadic talks between administration and the union, and one-day walkouts.

The details of the agreement have not been released.
