It appears production will continue for the time being at Windsor's Fiat Chrysler assembly plant.

A tentative agreement was reached late last night between the UAW and Fiat Chrysler and was announced minutes before a strike deadline. If a strike had taken place, production at the Windsor plant would have been affected.

Union leaders will meet later this morning to vote on the deal before taking it to membership for ratification.

The specifics of the tentative agreement have not been released.

This is the second agreement to be reached between the two parties after a deal was announced September 15th but ultimately rejected by 65 per cent of union members.
