Essex County OPP say one tractor trailer rear-ended another tractor trailer on Highway 401 in Lakeshore Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to attend the collision at about 5 a.m.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of the 401, just west of Essex County Road 42.
Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Two westbound lanes of the 401 were closed while the debris is cleared from the roadway. The lane reduction lasted several hours.
Police say charges are pending.
