A Chatham man and woman have been charged after police seized $166,000 of cannabis marijuana.

The Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section and K9 Unit executed a search warrant on Delaware Avenue in Chatham on Tuesday.

Officers seized the pot and almost $3,200 in Canadian money and $500 in U.S. cash. Multiple sets of electronic scales and production equipment were also seized.

A Chatham man, 27, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cannabis marijuana and production of cannabis resin. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.

A Chatham woman, 26, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cannabis marijuana and production of cannabis resin. She was also released with conditions pending a future court date.
