A fire at 959 Elm Avenue and another at 5564 Lassaline Avenue kept Windsor Fire crews busy on Thursday morning.

Windsor Fire says the first fire around 3 a.m. Thursday on Lassaline Avenue was the result of a pot on a stove catching fire.

A female tenant was transported to hospital to be treated for burns.

The Ontario Fire Marshal was called in and has completed an investigation, but information on the cause of the fire hasn’t been released. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

Fire crews responded to a second fire on Elm Avenue before 8 a.m. and were able to bring it under control quickly.

No one was injured, but one person has been displaced as a result of the blaze.

Windsor Fire says it appears to have originated in the living room wall and the Fire Marshal has again been called in to determine the cause.

Damage to the structure and contents is estimated at $135,000.
