Two boys are recovering and have been released from hospital after a serious crash near Wallaceburg over a week ago.

Officers were called to Kimble Road, around 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 20. A blue Volkswagen Golf crossed over the center line and struck a bridge railing abutment head-on.

The driver and three passengers, all from Wallaceburg, suffered injuries ranging from critical to moderate.

A 12-year-old male with critical injuries, who was airlifted to a hospital in London, has improved. He is listed in stable condition and remains in hospital.

The other 12-year-old male with critical injuries has also improved and was recently released from hospital. The 15-year-old male has also been released.

The 56-year-old driver remains in a Windsor hospital in critical condition.
