Windsor police have arrested three Windsor men in connection with several break-ins and thefts from vehicles.
Officers responded to the first incident at 3:25 a.m. on Monday in the 3400 block of Glenwood Avenue. A witness told police he saw three men in a silver car stop on the street.
Police say two of the men got out of the car and entered a neighbour's vehicle and removed some items. Officers say they talked to the owner of the vehicle and got an inventory of missing items.
Another police unit in the area, investigating a separate theft from vehicle call, stopped a silver vehicle in the 4200 block of Showdown Avenue.
Police say the vehicle had three suspects inside and several items of suspected stolen property, including the items from the Glenwood vehicle.
The three men in the vehicle were arrested without incident.
After an investigation, officers notified other owners of property in the 700 block of Massimo, 1500 block of Imperial Crescent, 1600 block of Sagebrush Court and 4300 block of Pioneer Avenue - all victims of theft from motor vehicle.
Police are still taking inventory of the property and are asking any additional victims to call in. They have recovered several items including purses, shoes, clothing, sunglasses, jewelry, various tools and loose change.
The three men, ages 27, 29 and 30, were each charged with five counts of theft from motor vehicle and five counts of possession of stolen property. Police say additional counts may be laid as the investigation continues.
