A Chatham-Kent police officer had minor injuries following a collision Saturday night involving a cruiser and van, that was so forceful, it left the van on its side.
Two people in the van needed to be extricated and sustained minor injuries.
Police say a crusier was travelling south on St. Clair Street in Chatham near Wal-Mart when it collided with the northbound van.
Police estimate damage to the two vehicles to be about $40,000.
It happened about 7:30 p.m.
The collision remains under investigation.
