The University of Windsor is breathing a collective sigh of relief after a tentative contract was reached between negotiating teams representing administration and faculty.

The handshakes were exchanged after two days of talks with the use of a provincially appointed mediator around midnight on Friday. The terms of the tentative agreement remains confidential, pending ratification.

Leaders of the Windsor University Faculty Association are planning on a ratification meeting and vote next week. Wages were said to have been a stumbling block during negotiations.

Administration is telling students that all classes and services on Friday will continue as normal.
