A 14-year-old was arrested after police say a threat was made at Kennedy High School.

Windsor police were notified on Wednesday of a threat of violence at the school on Thursday. 

Police say the threat was written on property within the school.

Through the investigation the officers identified the male suspect who is allegedly responsible for this threat. 

The 14-year-old male was arrested and is charged with uttering threats and mischief.

He was released to the custody of his parents and police continue to investigate.

Police are working with the principal and the school board to ensure a safe environment.  There will be a police presence today as a precaution and to ease any concerns.
