An 18-year-old Tecumseh man has been charged following a fatal crash involving a cyclist in Windsor.

Windsor police say Justin Revel is charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident resulting in death.

A 58-year-old man was transported to hospital with serious injuries and subsequently passed away after the collision on June 17 at 12:50 p.m. at Tecumseh Road East and Parent Avenue.

Police say information was received that the vehicle left the scene.

The Chevrolet pickup truck was northbound on Parent stopped at a red light at Tecumseh. A bicyclist was eastbound on Tecumseh on the north side of the street.

Police say the truck made a right turn and the bicyclist collided into the truck.

Officers have spoken to witness but are still appealing for any additional witnesses and continue to investigate.
