Mother Nature is putting a damper on plans for the Santa Claus parade in Tecumseh tonight.
Town officials say although the parade is cancelled due to the rain, Christmas in Tecumseh events are still running as planned.
“This is the decision I did not want to make, however, mother nature is just not cooperating with us today,” says manager of recreation programs. “The parade portion of our event has been cancelled. However Christmas in Tecumseh is still a go.”
All other event activities will be proceeding:
· Fire Hall Open House with Marshmallow Roast
· EMS Open House
· OPP Open House
· Christmas Caroling at Tecumseh Arena
· Free Public Skating at Tecumseh Arena
· Beebo Music at Tecumseh Arena
· Balloon Twisting at Tecumseh Arena
· Crafts, Activity Tables and Face Painting at Tecumseh Arena
· Movie (moved to Tecumseh Arena)
· Complimentary BBQ hotdogs and warm refreshments at the Park Pavilion
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting children at the Tecumseh Town Hall Building located at 917 Lesperance Road from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
