Bargaining negotiations between the University of Windsor and CUPE 1393 are scheduled to resume on Friday.

Discussions broke off on Sept. 28.

CUPE national president Paul Moist and CUPE 1393 president Dean Roy met with U of W president Alan Wildeman and chief human resources officer Rita LaCivita on Wednesday.

University officials say the group discussed the key outstanding issues. As a result, the mediator helping with the negotiations has called the two sides back to the table.

CUPE 1393 represents 281 technical, trades and professional staff. They have been on strike since Sept. 8.
