Suspicious package on Wyandotte Street not a bomb

Windsor police say the suspicious package near the University of Windsor was a piece of luggage that fell off an airport limousine.

Police say it is not a bomb.

Sgt. Matt D’Asti says an employee at the university saw the suitcase fall off the limousine and placed it on the side of the road. She later saw the suspicious package reports on social media and contacted police with the information. 

Officers blocked off a section of Wyandotte between Sunset Avenue and California Avenue after reports of the suspicious package.

The Explosives Disposal Unit was sent to investigate. 

It was a small red suitcase, located on southeast corner of Sunset.
