Windsor police say they have seized a vehicle they believe was used in a hit and run over the weekend.

On Tuesday, officers located a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with fresh damage in the 900 block of Pierre Avenue. The vehicle was towed and is being examined by forensic investigators.

Police believe this vehicle is responsible for a hit and run that sent a 47-year-old woman to hospital. She’s currently recovering in the ICU.

Investigators say the female owner of the vehicle is not being cooperative. The suspected driver has not been found. He’s described as a white male with a shaved head wearing a grey shirt – possibly in his 20’s.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
