A 65-year-old Chatham man was arrested after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted out in public Tuesday morning.

The woman involved, Kimberly Hart, who was on an electric scooter, told CTV News that she had just moved to Chatham and had become lost.

"On the way home I got turned around," she says.

While looking at her phone a man approached on a bike, offering help. "He reached up and grabbed my left breast," she says, adding she was stunned.

Hart tried to back away from the man, but he continued to ask personal questions.

"He then grabbed my right breast and said, 'Even if you are married, I'll give you a work out.'"

She was able to flee the area and contact police.

Thursday morning police made an arrest and the 65-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault.

But Hart says she has lost the feeling of security in her new hometown.

"I have not slept at night. I barely eat. I will not go out anymore without my fiance or one of our two dogs," she says.
