Ontario’s Ministry of Finance has released the annual ‘Sunshine List’ – revealing which public sector workers made over $100,000 in 2013.

Under City of Windsor employment, CAO Helga Reidel made $255,384. Police Chief Al Frederick made $190,499, while Fire Chief Bruce Montone made $143,688. A city spokesperson says Mayor Eddie Francis made $131,067 in 2013, but doesn’t "fit" the requirements for the sunshine list.

In the health department, Windsor Regional Hospital CEO David Musyj made $343,658, while Hotel Dieu Grace Health Care CEO Ken Deane made $334,098.

Over at the University of Windsor, president Dr. Alan Wildeman made $316,999. At St. Clair College, president Dr. John Strasser made $299,973.

Provincially, Tom Mitchell, president and CEO of Ontario Power Generation, tops the list with pay of $1.71 million in 2013, about the same as the year before.

Hydro One's president and CEO Carmine Marcello, who started his job in January last year, earned $728,570, including taxable benefits.

His predecessor Laura Formusa, who retired, received $159,500 last year.

The so-called sunshine list includes doctors, nurses, teachers, police and firefighters in addition to civil servants -- increased about 11 per cent last year to 97,796 names.

But the government says the average salary on the list was $127,433 last year -- a slight decline from the year before.
