WATERLOO, Ont. - The University of Waterloo says a student has been killed by lightning on its campus in southern Ontario.
The university says the first-year student was struck at about 9 a.m. today while walking on a pathway leading to student residences and died of the injuries in hospital.
The student's name was not immediately released as police are in the process of notifying the family.
