Library workers in Essex County, currently on strike, are now waiting on a date for a supervised vote.

It is Day 159 in the strike by CUPE Local 2974 members.

This past Friday, contract talks broke down with the library board tabling their final offer.

That kicks into motion a supervised vote to be held by the Ministry Of Labour.

Union leader Lori Wightman says during talks the board did fix the issue of part-timers not qualifying for sick leave, but she still expects her members will reject their final offer.
