The generosity of Windsorites has helped a local family share the warmth for a second straight year.

The Lamarsh family donated hundreds of sleeping bags last winter. This year they followed it up with clothing.

The family created an assembly line at Street Help’s Unit Seven Drop In Centre. They donated hundreds of boots, gloves, coats and socks on Wednesday.

“The donations that come in, we need these to survive, and have our clients kept warm,” says Gail Hosking of Street Help.

The money to pay for it was all collected last year during their Share the Warmth Campaign.

It was all in the memory of Matt Rawlings, who died at 18. He left behind a bucket list and helping the homeless was on it.

His family took it and raised enough money to donate 625 sleeping bags to Street Help.

Rawlings' dad, Bryan Lamarsh says in spite of that, they still had hundreds of dollars left over.

So they went out on a shopping spree for charity this year.
