He brought heart pounding suspense to a land before time and helped set the mood in a galaxy far, far away—John Williams and Steven Spielberg are coming to Detroit.

The legendary composer and director will join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a one-time benefit concert on June 14.

“The Detroit Symphony is one of our country’s great artistic treasures, and it’s always a privilege and a joy to make music with them,” stated Williams, who last conducted the DSO in April of 2008.

Williams is one of the most popular composers of his generation, crafting soundtracks for Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Harry Potter. Spielberg will join Williams on stage for the second half of the concert, as they play selections from some the duos collaborations over the past 40 years.

Tickets go on sale April 14 and start at $30, with all money going back to the symphony.
