A special weather statement has ended for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Environment Canada says showers and isolated thunderstorms could produce 30 to 40 millimetres of rain by Tuesday night.
It was part of a cold front moving through southern Ontario Tuesday.
The forecaster says localized amounts exceeding 50 mm are possible and warnings may be required.
