Tests have confirmed a second case of enterovirus D68 at Windsor Regional Hospital.

The first confirmed case came last week, and the hospital says they are awaiting results on 17 more cultures.

Around 100 tests have been done on Windsor-area children for the enterovirus D68. The Public Health Laboratory does not comment on negative results.

Officials say the treatment plan remains the same for all viruses.

Visitor restrictions are still in place and the hospital continues to emphasize the importance of hand-washing, covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing and not sending children to school who are showing signs of illness.
