The Chatham-Kent Rib Fest is going to take place after all, but it will be run by a new operator.

Family Shows Canada announced it will continue the event and keep the traditions the Sunrise Rotary Club established.

Organizers say main focus of the event will be the food, but it will still feature entertainment. Carnival rides will be positioned within the festival and priced at $20 for an all-day ride pass with a parents ride free bonus. It will be an admission-free festival.

"We want to work with the community to present the best festival possible and to make the Chatham-Kent Rib Fest a feature event that is not to be missed," says Doug Hillier, Family Shows Canada president.

Family Shows Canada is a London-based company that has been family run for 23 years. The group is welcoming all past participants to return along with all others that want to be involved. Service clubs and charitable organizations are welcome.
