A retired Windsor veteran plans to stand guard all day Saturday at the downtown cenotaph, in honour of deceased Corporal Nathan Cirillo.

Kevin Robson is calling on all other veterans and citizens alike – including police and fire officials -- to join him as he stands for 12 hours.

You may remember Nathan Cirillo was killed two years ago in Ottawa while on ceremonial sentry duty at the Canadian National War Memorial.

Robson tells CTV Windsor he feels an honour guard should be mounted every year on October 22nd across the country, not only to recognize Cirillo but to also show respect for Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was killed two days earlier.
