Production at the Windsor Assembly Plant continues to be temporarily suspended because of a parts supply shortage.
Chrysler Canada head of communications LouAnn Gosselin says the Thursday midnight shift and Thursday day shift has been cancelled.
Gosselin says they will continue to monitor the situation.
“All hourly non-skilled employees working the midnight and day shifts should not report to work on Thursday, February 21,” she says. “All hourly skilled trades employees should continue to report to their regularly scheduled shifts.”
Shifts were also cancelled at the plant on Wednesday.
CAW Local 444 president Dino Chiodo says if the issue can’t be fixed soon, it will become a larger problem.
